What is Botox® and How Does It Work?
Botox® is an FDA-approved injectable made from a purified form of botulinum toxin type A. Unlike dermal fillers, which add volume, Botox® is a neuromodulator that temporarily relaxes the small facial muscles responsible for dynamic wrinkles.
When those muscles ease their pull, the skin above them softens. Lines that form from frowning, squinting, raising your brows, or other repeated expressions gradually become less visible, while your face still moves and expresses naturally.

What to Expect During Your Botox® Treatment
A typical Botox® appointment at Fort Worth MedSpa takes about 30 minutes. After a brief check-in, your injector will:

- Map injection points based on your facial anatomy
- Administer a series of small injections using a fine needle
Most patients tolerate the injections well, and any discomfort is brief. A cold compress or topical numbing cream can be used if you prefer additional comfort. You’ll be able to leave the office shortly after your appointment.
Recovery & Aftercare After Botox® Sessions
Immediately following a series of Botox® injections, some mild swelling and redness will occur at the injection site. This will subside after a few hours of recovery. Patients can resume their normal activities immediately, but exercise should be avoided for a few hours. They also need to keep their heads elevated for the first 8-10 hours.
When Will I See Results From Botox®?
Most patients notice early softening within 3-5 days, with full results typically visible around two weeks after treatment. From there, results commonly last 3-4 months. We recommend scheduling your follow-up before your results begin to fade, generally every 3-4 months, to maintain a smooth, consistent look.

Can I get Botox® if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?
Botox® is not recommended during pregnancy and while breastfeeding. We’re happy to plan future treatments and answer any questions in the meantime.
Do you offer any loyalty programs?
